They are getting it right and I\u2019m hopeful they will keep working at it and loading more things into their digital archives.  Take a look at what&#8217;s available under genealogy.<\/p>\n<p>There is an Online Public Access Catalog to see what they have in the archives, but the following links are available on the genealogy page.<\/p>\n<p>Online and searchable by name:<br \/>\nIndex to Confederate Pension Applications,<br \/>\nIndex to Texas Adjutant General Service Records, 1836-1935,<br \/>\nIndex to Republic Claims,<br \/>\nConfederate Indigent Families Lists,<\/p>\n<p>In Person:<br \/>\nVital Statistics Indexes,<br \/>\nTexas County Tax Rolls on Microfilm,<br \/>\nTexas City Directories,<br \/>\nTexas Telephone Directories,<br \/>\n1867 Voters Registration<br \/>\nConvict Record Ledgers (1849-1954),<br \/>\nConvict Record Ledgers Indexes (1849-1970).<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to always look at the university libraries and pay close attention to their special collections.  The Perry-Castaneda Library Map Collection at the University of Texas at Austin is terrific.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks Texas!
